5days or less to go! If Iain hasn't been born by this Wednesday morning at 6am, we'll be going in for induction. Here are some pictures taken at Easter. As you can see I'm very much EXPECTING!!! The girls are growing up so quickly. And Gabe and Hannah just had birthdays and are now 17 and 13! The picture of Maggie in camo was her first trip Turkey Hunting with her Daddy. They didn't see anything...(Maggie admits it was hard to be quiet) but they enjoyed going together. This rotation has been tough on all of us but maybe most on Maggie. She really thrives on routine and Daddy being gone for all but 1-2 half days a week has been hard for her to accept. We look forward to Iain's coming for many reasons, and one of those reasons is that Matt will be finished with his rotation on Tuesday afternoon in anticipation for Wednesday. He is able to take 3 days off per rotation so he can take Wed-Fri. We are looking forward to being able to be together as a family again!!!! We'll have about a week together then Matt will be flying up to Minnesota for the closing on our new house! Everything is still looking good for that to happen on 5/3. He'll return to Mississippi on 5/8 and we head to Texas 5/15. Graduation is 5/19!!!!
Please be praying that all will go well with Iain's delivery, that the closing on our house will go through without a hitch, that Iain will thrive and eat well and travel well!!!, that the girls- especially Elaena- will adjust quickly to Iain's arrival, and that our move to Minnesota will be an easy transition for all of us.
We are so thankful for all the ways God has graciously provided for us these last 9months! In a crazy vagabond kind of existance, we have flourished as a family and been blessed abundantly with the fellowship of friends and family. I know we will look back on this incredibly unique year and be struck again and again by how faithful He has been and how thankful we are for this time. At this point in the journey, though, I am becoming eager for a home of our own again. I look forward to settling into a more "normal" (whatever that is) kind of life, you know with my own bed and the girls own toys and a chest of drawers and a closet for our clothes. =) Of course, the cleaning, the grocery shopping, the electric bill, and the cooking will be realities too!!! haha.
